Privacy Policy

A1 Roofing & Property Maintenance (owner & operator Sam Arace, ABN 50 713 891 389) respects your privacy. We are based in South Australia and aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect when you use this website or send a quote request, and how we handle it. If you have any questions, call 0407 559 774 or email admin@a1roofingadelaide.com.au.

What we collect

When you contact us or submit a quote request, we may collect:

• Your name and phone number
• Your email address (if you provide it)
• The suburb and details of the property or problem
• Any photos you choose to upload
• Anything else you include in your message

We only collect what you choose to give us. You don't need to create an account, and we don't ask for payment details through this website.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote
• Assess the problem you've described (including any photos)
• Arrange and carry out work you ask us to do
• Keep basic records of jobs and quotes

Your photos

Photos you upload are used to assess your roof or property so Sam can give you an accurate answer. We will not publish photos of your property — for example in the website gallery or on social media — without your permission.

How your quote request reaches us

When you send the quote form, it goes through a small website function run on our host, Netlify, and is emailed to Sam's business inbox (admin@a1roofingadelaide.com.au, a Zoho Mail inbox that forwards to his Gmail) using the email delivery service Resend. A copy of each request is also sent to JB Digital Barossa (admin@jbdigitalbarossa.com.au), the local business that built and looks after this website, so they can check requests are arriving and fix any problems. A delivery record of the request (your name, email and message) is also kept in JB Digital Barossa's secure client portal, hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia, so any failed delivery can be retried. When Sam replies, the reply goes to the email address you gave. After you send the form, you'll also receive an automatic email confirming we've received your request.

Every submission is automatically checked for spam (for example a hidden form field, timing checks, a shared blocklist and a spam score). Anything that looks like spam is held for JB Digital Barossa to review and is not passed on to Sam.

Sharing your information

We don't sell or rent your information. We only share it with the service providers described in this policy (website hosting with Netlify, email delivery with Resend, our web developer JB Digital Barossa and its client portal hosted by Supabase in Sydney, and Google for analytics), or where we're required to by law.

Some of these providers (including Netlify, Resend and Google) store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We use them because they are established services, but we can't control where they hold data.

Enquiry forms and follow-up

When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that A1 Roofing & Property Maintenance can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia by our website provider, JB Digital Barossa, in its client portal (hosted by Supabase in Sydney), and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. Follow-ups are never sent automatically: at most, Sam will contact you personally once about that enquiry. A short notice under each form explains this. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email admin@a1roofingadelaide.com.au and we will action it promptly.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide and keep it only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and meet our record-keeping obligations.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed and how people arrive here. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) in your browser when a page loads to do this. We also record simple interactions, such as clicks on our phone number, email, directions or quote buttons, starting a form, and a successfully sent quote request, but what you type into our forms is never sent to Google. Google Signals and advertising features are turned off, and analytics data is kept for 14 months. The reports are aggregated and we don't use them to identify you personally. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, without affecting your use of the site. The site's fonts are hosted on this website itself, so loading a page does not connect your browser to Google Fonts.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by calling 0407 559 774 or emailing admin@a1roofingadelaide.com.au.

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
